Abstract

One of the most important and at the same time the most difficult aspect of project-based education is the transfer of responsibility for learning to pupils. The aim of this paper is to present a case study of activity Colours realised at elementary school Hurka in Kutna Hora (3rd - 5th grade).

Gradual development of topics based on pupils' interest was used in the activity. Activity was analysed with respect to the theoretical background of project-based education.

The gradual development of topics seems to be an effective strategy to increase pupils' interest in specific educational content and thus to initiate the project as a pupil's activity.
