Abstract

According to international organizations, only about a third of the world's countries are rated as democratic, with the proportion of non-democratic countries increasing in the last decade. Authoritarian regimes prevail over democratic ones, and in the current democratic states, authoritarian elements are manifested.

Both the decline of democracy and the rise of authoritarian methods and regimes are considered global phenomena, and these issues are becoming part of the debate about shaping the global world.
