Emergency Situations and States of Emergency in Constitutional History

Abstract

The paper deals with a summary of the handling the situations of exceptional threats to the national security during the development of modern constitutionality on the European continent. In the second part, the paper deals with the principles and trends that have developed over time in the field of emergency government, and describes how they did or did not manifest themselves in the Czech legal system.
