The book consists of four sections:
1. A survey of Hebrew narratives from the Biblical literature to the Hasidic Tales, focusing on Middle Ages and the Early modern period (pp. 19-143).
2. A Czech translation of a collection of Hebrew tales, called by its editor Eli Yassif "The 99 Tales". The edition was checked against the manuscript and some of the problematic passages were corrected.
3. A commentary to the tales (pp. 284-370).
4. A set of appendices, containing a selection of other narrative material translated from Hebrew to Czech, starting with several aggadot from the Babylonian Talmud and ending with a medieval story about a dragon from Sefer hasidim.
