In this paper, we deal with the problem of the Standard Czech morphological codification and the possibility of its application in the school language education. We outline the history of this part of codification, with special reference to the main question: what is the actual source of the morphological codification.
Nowadays, a native speaker can consult a lot of reference books and internet sites (of unequal quality) but none of them can be regarded as a central authority. In this paper, we try to answer the question which of the codification sources is and should be applied in the current school language education.
