The aim of the round table was to discuss, in a respectful atmosphere, the approaches of individual researchers to the role of their research with regard to policy-making. The discussion would like to address the following questions: How do we see the relationship between our research and policy-making? Should the results of our research be reflected in the setting of migration and integration policies? Does our role end with writing a research report or other publication? How do we handle the results of our research? Which research clients do we / do not work for and why? To what extent is it acceptable for us to not be able to publish the results freely? What and why do we limit certain research? The debate expected different opinions, attitudes and their sharing, potential mutual inspiration and especially critical discussion, which can help both to better name one's own positions and to understand the approach of others.
