Review study of the latest book of philosopher Brian Massumi Architectures of the Unforeseen: Essays in the Occurent Art. The text focuses not only on the analysis of Massumi's notion of the affective event, but also analyzes the "indebtedness" of his philosophical style to the influence of the work of the French thinker Gilles Deleuze.
Although Massumi's book is a reflection of virtuality in the context of architecture, the review study suggests the usefulness of his theses in favor of examining the film image treated as virtual.
