Abstract
The beginnings of translating from Modern Greek to Czech fall into the middle of the 19th century. It has long failed to breach the barrier of bias towards the Modern Greek literature, but at the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries, there has been a significant change in the reception of Modern Greek literature - the best contemporary Greek works were systematically translated into Czech literature.
