Abstract
Published results of hemato-oncological nursing research from the period of the first decade of the new millennium prove the indisputable role that research in nursing brings in the real improvement of patient care. It reflects a period of peak enthusiasm and extensive international cooperation, cooperation between centers, relative still enough time and staff capacity, and the necessary cooperation between phisicians and nurses.
However, the effort to further look for ways to improve nursing care for patients with oncological diseases is still unceasing, specialized multidisciplinary and multiprofessional working groups are being formed looking for effective and well-implemented recommendations in nursing care.
