Abstrakt
The paper draws on the author's practical experience of working with migrants and foreigners. Particular attention is paid to intercultural competencies required and interventions of social workers and to intercultural work done by individuals engaged in caring professions.
The text is intended to tackle the topics of interventions. The empirical layer of the paper relies on the author's hands-on experience.
Paying special attention to examples of interventions in the host country, the author observes that ever increasing importance has recently been assumed by social work with migrants and refugees.
