Papers presented at the online conference paid attention to the following fields:1. bullion: its production and distribution,
2. exchange and transfer of values,
3. professional skills (logistics and transport, accounting, mints, communications),
4. institutions (states, banks, monetary policy). The aim of the conference was to cover not only Western and Southern Europe, but also East Central Europe which played an important role in silver and gold supply, particularly in the late medieval period. The theme like this enables researchers to use a wide spectrum of sources, like technical treatises, merchant diaries, commercial correspondence, stock exchange documents, accounting books, and many others. Original contributions are expected to be published in a special volume within the series The Palgrave Studies in the History of Finance.
