Abstract
The present study is based on lexicographic processing of personal pronouns for the Large German-Czech Academic Dictionary (VNČAS). It aims to examine the processing of this part of speech in dictionaries and grammars.
For this reason, grammars for German non-native speakers, two largest dictionaries on the Czech market and one monolingual German Learner ̓s Dictionary have been analyzed. The article is concluded by a comparison of entries concerning the German pronoun es in the selected dictionaries with one entry created for the VNČAS.
It can be seen that all functions of this pronoun are properly considered in the latter work only.
