Abstract
The article sums up distinctive features of Daněk?s understanding of the relation between history and the Old Testament. The first part of the paper treats Daněk?s conception of history as the context in which the Old Testament traditions and texts came into existence and were handed down; the second part deals with history as the theme of Old Testament texts; the last part touches on the relation of history to revelation.
