Abstract
The paper explores the migration of people to Western countries in search of work, with special attention paid to several cultural strategies that are employed to assist the majority population in accepting foreign workers. Looking into the subject of employed foreigners, the paper s conclusions emphasize (supported by a questionnaire research designed to find out the majority s perception of foreign laborers) the importance of future cooperation between local majority staff on the one hand and supervisors, cultural mediators and intercultural workers on the other.
