Abstract
Reviews reviews The Fairytale Dictionary by Olga Martincová, Ludmila Kořenářová and Petra Tatíčková (published by SPN in 2020). It is unique and specific to Czech by combining the lingual interpretation and picture principle in the construction of glossaries, that it focuses on the children's reader and thematically represents the vocabulary of Czech fairytales.
Fairytales represent the gold fund of Czech literature and strongly fairytales enrich our vocabulary. Teachers of Czech language and literature in primary schools and students of teaching will use it in their interpretations and practice of vocabulary in language lessons as well as in reading and interpretation in literature lessons.
Glossary can also be useful for teachers and pupils of Czech as a foreign language.
