Abstract
The medallion is dedicated to the leading expert in Czech and Slavic lexicology, lexicography and word-formation Olga Martincová on the occasion of her important life jubilee (*1945). It briefly maps her life and career, taking into account her contribution in the field of neology and neography.
It recalls and comments on a selection of numerous professional publications by O. Martincová, e.g. monograph Problems of Neologisms in Contemporary Standard Czech (1983), partial studies published in prestigious domestic and foreign journals and proceedings, dictionaries New words in Czech: Dictionary of Neologisms (1998) and New Words in Czech: Dictionary of Neologisms 2 (2004), which originated under her leadership, proceedings New vocabulary in interpretive dictionaries (Martincová - Světlá , 2000) or a collective monograph of Neologism in Today's Czech (Martincová - Rangelova - Světlá, 2005).
