Abstrakt
This is an entry into the first international dictionary dedicated to the work, intellectual trajectory and influence of the French sociologist Pierre Bourdieu. The entry describes the reception of Bourdieu's work in Czechoslovak and Czech sociology from the 1960s to the mid-2010s.
The editorial team has characterized the Dictionary in the following way: "Nearly 600 entries, a team of 126 authors from twenty countries and bringing together the best specialists of Pierre Bourdieu, sociologists, political scientists, philosophers, historians, anthropologists, literary people ... Through its collective, international and interdisciplinary dimension, this Dictionary deeply renews the state of knowledge on the author of social sciences today the most cited in the world."
