Jesus'conception of power/authority is, first of all, theological and soteriological: theological because his power is from the Father in the Spirit, soteriological because it is for the man and against the Evil one. The specific theological character of this power includes the deep difference from the expectations with political-messianic connotations of the Jews.
The soteriological character includes also the scandal of the humiliation: all of this is for the man, so that he can receive God's life.
