Myths and facts about autism

Publication at Second Faculty of Medicine |
2020

Abstract

The book brings little-known facts about autism, their unexpected contexts in a popular-science form, and does not avoid much-discussed topics. It is not a textbook or a guide.

It does not aim to comprehensively describe a certain issue associated with autism spectrum disorders. On the contrary, it focuses on knowledge that is not usually written about in textbooks because it does not fit into textbook schemes.

However, it is not an alternative interpretation of reality and remains in academic medicine, where the author has been working for more than two decades. It is intended for parents of autistic children and all professionals who want to get acquainted in a fun way with unknown pieces of the puzzle called autism.
