Abstract

Text is based on analyses of artworks by two contemporary female artists - Lucia Tkáčová and Anetta Mona Chișa. It focuses on projects in which they work with the food or consumable substances (desserts made from their own urine after having consumed the halucinogene extract from the Amanita muscaria mushrooms, eatable statues representing their own portraits or the Pyramide of Capitalist System, a dictionary soaked in liquid LSD and others).

The text tries to reflect on the ways by which the two authors infiltrate the precisesly or even obsessively intergral forms of their artworks with a subversion or decay: be it by means of the chosen materials or by the interactions they expose their artworks to. The permanent tension between transaction and transgression that is central not only to their work but to capitalism as such is analyzed through theoretical frameworks from the Living Currency by Pierre Klossowski (La monnaie vivante, 1970).
