Abstract
The lecture commemorated the 115th anniversary of The Free Thought Magazine in Czechia. The lecture was given on the VI.
Philosophy Congress of the Slovak Philosophy Society (Slovak Academy of Sciences). The paper tracks the roots of philosophy and ideas which the Free Thought Movement stood upon (radical atheism, secularism, positivism, democratic socialism etc.) and highlights some of the crucial moments of the movement (censorship, confiscation, exile etc.).
