Abstract
The human brain has to deal with a variety of situations that take place in an often confusing environment and under unclear circumstances. Because it can quickly process all the information, it also gives us the feeling that the world around it is clear, logically organized and secure.
However, it makes many simplifications and generalizations. Whether it deals with optical illusion or with too complex information, our biological and hereditary equipment, stress, intuition, subliminal stimuli also come into play.
