The Eurasian Eagle-owl and Its Difficult Fate III. The Hard Road to Conservation

Abstract

The article deals with the development of the population of the Eagle Owl (Bubo bubo) and its protection during the first Czechoslovak Republic (1918-38). At the same time, it mentions the first serious debate about the meaning and harmfulness of hunting predators on the hunting Eagle Owls.
