Abstract
The article summaries new information on the remains of the medieval fortifications of Prague-Old Town acquired in the past decade through rescue archaeological excavations conducted by the archaeological departments of the National Heritage Institute in Prague and the City of Prague Museum. The study of the Old Town fortifications has its traditional limits connected with their historical development and demise beginning as early as the end of the medieval period.
As such, each piece of new information on the fortifications creates a new opportunity to discuss their form.
