The article outlines the models of vi-visual representation prevailing on the anniversary of the three decades of the collapse of the communist regime in Romania, which represent a crucial complement of historical narratives in a time of free digital dissemination of information. It focuses on its online media landscape and discusses representative production examples from public and private TV stations and news websites, in particular from the second half of 2019.
It places them in the context of the Romanian society's collective memory, but also, in part, a critical visual art work reflecting the theme of communism.
