Extraordinary reduction of imprisonment in the light of the amendment to the Criminal Code

Abstract

The paper deals with the institute of extraordinary reduction of imprisonment. First, its position in the system of criminal law is discussed.

Furthermore, the legal regulation in the previous Criminal Code (Act No. 140/1961 Coll.) And the legal regulation in the current Criminal Code (Act No. 40/2009 Coll.) are characterized.
