Using digital media for political participation of youth is a highly current topic, see FridaysForFuture. Numerous studies abroad explore the ways how political participation can be enhanced by media literacy (McDougall, 2014; Riel, 2012).
Research in this field in the Czech Republic is, however, very limited. The paper presents the findings of the research among media literacy teachers at vocational high schools.
Its goal is to describe the possibilities of the application of the citizenship model of media education (Hobbs, 2010) at these schools.
