This article is devoted to the theoretical reflection on the use of the InterCorp parallel corpus in translation lexicography. The text resources and the specificity of the individual language modules of the parallel corpora: Polish, Czech and Russian are described.
Both advantages and disadvantages of individual bilingual parallel corps: Polish-Czech, Polish-Russian and Czech-Russian were indicated. Among the theoretical issues, the focus is mainly on the issue of translation equivalence and its criteria in relation to the corpus material, mostly with translations.
The ever increasing usefulness of the InterCorp parallel corpus in translation lexicography has been demonstrated.
