On the phenomenon of accuracy and standard in teaching Czech to foreigners

Abstract

In the field of Czech as a foreign language, there is a growing discussion about how to deal with individual varieties of Czech, especially literary and general Czech, in teaching, when designing teaching materials or evaluation and testing, a discussion well known from the context of Czech linguistics and the Czech school. Within the teaching of Czech for foreigners, it is also necessary to deal with the so-called pupil and teaching variety.
