Abstract

There is the pandemic spread of coronavirus with high pathogenicity, SARS-CoV-2. SARS-CoV-2 has already infected several hundreds milions of people and is the cause of death of approximately 2 milions people.

The only way to limit the spread of SARS-CoV-2 are epidemic measures now. Immunopathogenesis of SARS-CoV-2 infection is described in details.

Based on this knowledge numerous different types of vaccines are under the development. Some of them are already approved for large scale application.

It is assumed that vaccination of the substantial part of human population will at least limit the epidemic spread of infection. The current state in the development and production of various vaccines against SARS-CoV-2 virus is discussed in this article.
