This paper presents the first treebank of Mbyá Guaraní, a Tupí-Guaraní language spoken in Argentina,
Brazil and Paraguay. The Mbyá treebank is part of Universal Dependencies, a projectthat aims to create a set of guidelines for the consistent grammatical annotation of typologicallydifferent languages. We describe the composition of the treebank, and non-trivial choices thatwere made in the adaptation of Universal Dependencies guidelines to the annotation of Mbyá.
