Abstract
Collective bilingual monograph of three interconnected essays on the semantic aspects of the mythological pair Icarus and Phaeton and their forms in the modern technological age. For the first time in the Czech Republic, a comprehensive overview of Icarus and Faeton themes in the context of European modern art with an emphasis on the social role of the artist and the related Icarus artistic self-identification.
