Abstract
The article deals with a book Aufbruch im Umbruch by a German theologian Michael Herbst who describes a situation of the Protestant Church in Germany and looks for solutions which would help to step forward out of the crisis. He pledges for progressive possibilities that abandon a traditional model of the church structure and allows experimentations, e.g.
Fresh Expressions of Church. He considers also questions related to the field of church theory and strategic planning.
