Abstract

Chapter is dedicated to the "Khrushchev Thaw" period of Belarusian history (1954-1964). It focuses on some aspects of the "Khrushchev Thaw" in Belarus: liberalization, ideological trends, russification, and dissident movement.

The study analyses industrialization and urbanization of Belarus under Khrushchev's rule.
