Abstract

Acute kidney injury is a severe condition which increases both mortality and morbidity in children. There is a long term risk of development of chronic kidney disease even if the patient is treated properly.

We present a case of a patient who developed acute kidney injury during the course of a febrile infection of unkown origin. The etiology was subsequently clarified after patient's discharge from the hospital.
