Preschoolers are really interested in edible plants. When we ask them why they like a tree, most children mention that they can eat something from it.
We adults, especially kindergarten teachers, have a wonderful opportunity to capture and develop their interest and use it to achieve educational goals. In the second article in the series "Plants in the School Garden", I would like to focus on two trees, fanerophytes, one well-known and the other relatively unknown, the apple tree and the fig tree.
Both produce tasty fruits and are therefore a popular part of the so-called "edible forest". Their cultivation in school gardens will bring the necessary diversity in life manifestations.
In the previous article, various life forms according to Raunkiær were introduced. We will now focus on the different manifestations of life.
