This article presents the results of a survey (in the form of a questionnaire) conducted at the turn of 2018/2019 in the Moravian-Silesian Region to discover teachers' awareness of integrated teaching at secondary schools. The aim of the survey was to ascertain the level of the implementation of integrated teaching at secondary schools in the Moravian-Silesian Region.
The article provides answers to the opinions of Czech teachers on the implementation of integrated teaching and compares the prerequisites for its implementation set out in the Framework Educational Programmes with the teachers' answers. It identifies from what sources teachers draw in the preparation of integrated teaching, by what forms or methods teachers implement integrated teaching in their lessons and what the reasons are for not implementing this method of teaching.
The article evaluates the answers of 146 respondents from the Moravian-Silesian Region. It includes answers from teachers of various subjects from different types of secondary schools.
Most respondents include integrated teaching in their lessons in the form of projects combining knowledge from multiple subjects with practical experience and productive activities. The most frequent reasons for not implementing integrated teaching in lessons were duration, lack of suitable didactic materials and the fact that teachers do not know how specifically to implement integrated teaching in their lessons.
