Minireview deals with possibilities of use of routine biochemical and haematological analytes for monitoring patients with COVID-19. Communication contents information on the changes some analytes (mainly CRP, ferritin, D-dimer, procalcitonin, lymphocytes, LD and many more).
We assessed magnitudes of their changes during therapy of disease and for their prediction potential to discrimination of severity, fatality and survivability in this disease. Text is based on the recommendations from Task Force IFCC on COVID-19 and we used also results of some longitudinal and metaanalytic studies.
In this communication are introduced some aspects of harmonization levels in analytes used for given purpose.
