Abstract
The contribution will inform the reader about the project Education and Support of Primary Schools in the Field of Healthy Lifestyle and Traffic Education, which was implemented by the regional workplace for Prague and Central Bohemia of the National Institute for Further Education. The purpose of the project was updating and elaborate the areas and practices education of the health education and the traffic education in the form of experience lessons, including the creation and pilot verification of educational programs in the field of healthy lifestyle, safety and respectful behavior in the field of traffic for pupils and teachers of elementary schools in the Central Bohemia Region.
The project led to establishing and maintaining satisfactory relationships, creative problem solving, prudent decision making, self-control, and the formulation of opinions and attitudes of target groups. The main program of the project was experiential teaching and modern entertainment methods of working with teachers, and subsequently pupils.
New didactic materials and teaching facilities were created and counseling and consulting facilities for elementary schools were created at the regional workplace of the National Institute for Further Education. They were implemented mutual visits in schools, transfer of experience, examples of good practice, individual consultations and demonstration classes took place directly in classes with teachers and pupils.
