Authoritarian's Response to Dislocations: The Radical Othering in The Ruling Party's Discourse in Azerbaijan

Abstrakt

This paper, drawing on Laclau and Mouffe's post-structuralist discourse theory (PDT), examines the logic of exclusion in the discourse of the hegemonic authoritarianism in Azerbaijan. The combination of discourse theory and discourse-historical approach (DHA) to CDA allows analyzing the exclusionary logic of authoritarian hegemony in the macro and micro levels.
