This article deals with public (governmental) incentives for hiring job seekers with health disabilities. The corner stone of Czech public pro-employment measures is a duty to hire disabled employees.
Every employer that employs at least 25 employees throughout a calendar year in average is obliged to recruit a definite number of disabled employees. If applicable, disabled employees must create at least 4 % of all employees working at the employer.
The number of unemployed disabled goes down in last years. However, the main reason for such a positive outcome seems to be waged rather by macroeconomic developments, than governmental incentives or employed public policies.
