THE DIFFICULTIES OF DISTANCE LEARNING AS PERCEIVED BY PRIMARY SCHOOL PUPILS DURING COVID - 19

Abstract

The paper presents the dufficulties of distance learning from the point of view of 4th-8th grade pupils in autumn of the school year 2020/2021. The case study answered the following questions: Did the pupils' issues change from spring period? What are the new issues about? Is there any recommendation for teach- ers? The research employed the method of questionnaire and semi-structured interview in the focus groups.

The results showed that pupils still perceive the same issues as during the spring, but there are also new issues with overlapping the personal life of pupils and their mental state. The results also showed sig- nificant differences between primary and lower-secondary school and revealed the most at-risk group of students.
