The study DG 307, "Asanace" and the trial of musicians is the result of ethnographic research that took place in 2011 and dealt with the theme of memory and oblivion in contemporary Czech society throughout the artistic activity of the group DG 307. On the one hand, the paper focuses on the issue of memory from the point of view of disciplines such as history and anthropology; on the other hand, it also tries to draw attention to the role of psychiatry at a time when Czech society was under the pressure of normalization.
The symbol of the group, creative work and its subsequent interpretation are part of a reflection that, on the one hand, draws attention artistic output that is thought-provoking and inspirational, and, on the other hand, also delves into the imaginary roots of the myth structure and the examination of anthropological models. The "Asanace" ("Decontamination") campaign and the consequences of ostracism are then remembered through the experiences of people directly affected by this campaign.
The conclusion deals with the question of evil and "impurity" from an anthropological perspective.
