The pandemic COVID 19 has affected our entire society, children's homes are no exception. The aim of this paper is to inform the professional public about the changes in the educational process in the Children's Home Klánovice caused by the epidemiological situation.
We have chosen qualitative research methods, the information provided by interviews, long-term observation, and analysis of pedagogical documentation. Our findings revealed a wide range of challenges to which all participants in the educational process, children and teaching staff, were exposed during distance education.
In the discussion of the results, we will try to suggest practical measures that could be applied not only in future crisis situations but also in the normal operation of a school facility for the performance of institutional education.
