Sacral Symbols in the Conflict: Religious mouments in Nagorno Karabakh as the symbols and roots of the conflict

Abstract

The article analyses the role of religious monuments at the time of the conflict based on the case of the civil war betwen Armenia and Azerbaijan in Nagorno Karabakh. It also shows the interpretation and reinpretation of these monuments from both sides of the conflict and in the dynamics of the conflict.
