A keynote lecture discussing the staging of the brothers Čapek play Ze života hmyzu by the Gate Theatre, Dublin; topics covered: the textual history of the English translation, the nature of Myles na gCopaleen's adaptation, the input of the director Hilton Edwards, a comparative discussion of the reception of the Czech original with the Dublin adaptation.
