Abstract
Information available at Giza holds the keys to many questions about past Egyptian lives. One of them, which we are trying to answer in an ongoing project, is about Old Kingdom procurement, use, and discard of copper.
We apply modern scientific analytical techniques to uncover more information about this topic, long neglected in Egyptian archaeology. Many studies were done in the past, including on the material from Giza, but these were all case studies of small groups of material.
A systematic approach is what is needed now and in the future.
