Th e article deals with distance learning in secondary schools. Distance learning was introduced as an emergency measure in the Czech Republic in the spring and autumn months of 2020.
Teachers in secondary schools across the Czech Republic were contacted. A total of 11 teachers were interviewed.
Th e article focuses on the course of distance learning, student engagement, and school and student preparedness in the fi eld of information technology. Furthermore, the work with pupils with special educational needs is described.
