Critical review of the novel Black Sugar, translated by Markéta Krušinová and published by Argo in 2019. The review provides an introduction of the author, the plot of the novel, the naming of the novel's most significant motifs, such as legend, treasure and the play with the five senses, and above all a critical evaluation of the novel's language.
