Abstract
The article shows that, although the serious effects that the use of nuclear weapons would have on the environment, the legislation in this area is still very limited. The key instrument here is the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change 1992, which, as the name suggests, is only a framework instrument, which also focuses primarily on tackling the challenges posed by ongoing climate change.
